Hope everyone is doing well.
I have made a video above that explains what the plan is for Social Studies.
Please check it out first.
Your job for Social Studies it to continue to work on your Conservation Research task that we started at the end of last term. (copy of the instructions are on Google Classroom)
It would be great if you could have it done before Monday.
Once you have completed your work, remember to go through our google classroom page, attach your file or add a link as a comment, then hit that 'Turn In' button.
If you have any questions about the task, you can always email me, or you can visit me in my virtual classroom that I will keep open a lot of the time during school hours. You can access the zoom room through the link in Google Classroom
I will be sending you a new message and material first thing on Monday.
Okay folks, good luck and bye for now.
Hope your household is sorted.
At this stage, our Google Classroom is where you need to go for our social studies classwork.
Feel free to email me any questions at email@example.com. Good Luck!
(PS: Make sure you check your school email from time to time.)
Here is a fantastic simulation game called Electrocity, that brings together many of the things you would have learnt about in the People's Planet topic. In this game, you try to grow a small village into a thriving city. But you will need to watch your energy management, pollution, and of course you will have to try and keep your citizens happy.
Here is a little screencast I have made that explains how it works.
After you have watched the screencast, go to:
Today we are going to have a go at a simulation game from World Vision.
It's called 'Born to be Free' and is about freeing children trapped in different forms of child labour.
You act as a World Vision worker and help the children and their family make decisions that lead to a freer and fairer life.
Watch this video to understand how to get underway with the game easily. A link to the game is at the bottom of this post.
